An insight into Axdata -life through Annette's eyes!

Short n' sweet
- Without exception, there are only positive people here: solution-oriented people who are deeply committed to their job and their profession. It can sometimes border on a bit nerdy in certain cases, Annette Aker Iversen laughs, who is a senior professional consultant in Axdata .

- But the commitment we share only shows how well we enjoy what we do; that the work tasks are exciting, and something we love to delve into. Personally, I spin a little in the morning and look forward to coming to work.
Annette's entry into Axdata is not long ago; two years ago she took the step over from a similar position in another company, after feeling drawn to the company culture. And with 24 years in the industry, she came in as a rock-solid consultant and professional, with little (let's be honest: none) need for training and onboarding.
- In many ways I just changed employers and continued as before. I wasn't exactly fully trained, because you never get that in this industry, but I already had the skills that were needed, so I actually went straight into normal working life, she says.
Changed course; jumped ships
Annette explains that because Axdata is still a relatively small company, the decision-making lines are also shorter, and the structure is frankly flat. It was absolutely crucial for her when she decided to change employers.
- Previously, I experienced that the company I worked in was more hierarchical, and it became more difficult to get through with one's views. After being in this industry for so long, it didn't really suit me, she says.
Another thing she values at Axdata is the trust she is receiving: the freedom to control the way she works with clients, how she structures her working days and when she takes time off.
- There is a "you can fix this yourself" attitude, and the fact that we can have that flexibility, and that we are given the trust we feel we deserve, is absolutely crucial. Because if you become too detail-oriented, you also - at least I do - lose a lot of motivation and creativity! If everything has to be clarified, preferably in advance, then I lose the spark, she says and continues:
- It is important for me to feel that I have trust, also in the sense that I will be corrected in a good way if I become too creative or flexible! I feel that Axdata gives us just that, which motivates me to work hard.
